PCI (PICMG 1.3/PICO/PCI):
These boards might be used for PCI expansion over the ribbon or cable

PICO / PCI:
These boards might be used for PCI expansion over the ribbon or cable
For internal (ribbon) expansion usually can not be connected directly due to cable lenght limilation, but may be added using free PCI/PCI-X slot on any PCIe-to-PCI-X bridge riser as bus extender
There are a lot of different PCI / PICO backplane vendors, providing 2-7 slots boards: Advantech, Axiomtek, IEI Technology, Industrial PC to You, Modular Industrial Solutions, Norco Technologies and others. Prices are from $20-50 (3-slot) to $120-150 (7-slot)
There are also several vendor-specific PCI/PCI-X expansion solutions
