Workstation overall description

The 3D/2D three-box (main, cooling and desktop boxes) 72GB dual overcklocked Intel Xeon W5590 workstation is based on the Supermicro X8DTG-QF motherboard. The system has two factory overclocked consumer Radeon HD 5970 (converted to professional-grade ones) and one GeForce GTX 285 card (converted to 2GB Tesla C1060) and very fast (about 3GB/s) SSD subsystem. The workstation has all needed connections and would-need data exchange devices.

The workstation is equipped by three vertical NEC Display Solutions LCD2490WUXI2-BK monitors, Logitech Z-5500 audio system and Wacom Intuos4 Large tablet.

Changes from the previous configuration:
Intel 6-core Xeon X5680 replaced 4-core processors.
980X
The overall system cost went up by about $100

The system is about two time cheaper than equival productivity ones from HP or Dell (even if to count in their price only one cheapest graphics card).
